Update: OXISFF2020 postponed due to Coronavirus

Dear all,

It is with a heavy heart we are writing this message to let you know that sadly we are having to postpone the Oxford International Short Film Festival 2020 (28-29 March).

As you may have guessed this is down to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Our venue, St John’s College, has taken the decision to postpone all onsite events for the remainder of March. Please see the official confirmation from the College here. Unfortunately this is beyond our control and as you can imagine we are extremely disappointed.

Please know that we’ve been using all of our time and energy to try to make the event run and have pressed for information so we could update you on the situation with as much notice and guidance as we could. We are sure this news hits you just like it has hit the whole festival team (and we are all still coming to terms with it)!

We hope to reschedule the Festival, although with the current situation that may take a little while and we appreciate your patience. We recommend checking here, on our website and social media for further details. We will update you as soon on as possible.

It’s difficult to express in words how devastating this is for us and how much we were looking forward to meeting everyone and watching all of the wonderful films on the big screen! Hopefully we will still get the opportunity to do this in the near future.

More importantly in the meantime, please stay safe, wash your hands and be kind to everyone!

Best wishes for now,

The OXISFF Team
